Overview
This group is a collaborative forum focused on incorporating social determinants of health (SDOH) concepts into digital health systems in Canada. It does this by enabling coordination and knowledge sharing on defining, standardizing, and representing SDOH data elements and value sets within digital health standards. This matters because consistent SDOH data supports interoperability and more complete use of health information across systems and jurisdictions. Ultimately, this work helps participants align on practical, standards‑based approaches for integrating SDOH information into interoperable digital health solutions.
Who it’s for
Intended for jurisdictions, clinicians, vendors, policymakers, researchers, and standards organizations involved in Canada’s digital health ecosystem who develop, implement, govern, or use SDOH data in digital health systems.
