Overview
This group is a collaborative forum composed of laboratory data representatives from across Canadian jurisdictions focused on lab data standards implementation. It does this by enabling coordination and knowledge sharing on the development, maintenance, and application of LOINC and pCLOCD, including naming conventions, editorial guidance, and content updates. This matters because consistent laboratory terminology and implementation practices are essential to interoperability, data quality, and reliable exchange of lab information across jurisdictions.
Ultimately, this work helps participants align on shared approaches that support sustainable lab system implementation and pan‑Canadian interoperability.
Who it’s for
Intended for jurisdictions, laboratory organizations, vendors, standards organizations, and digital health stakeholders involved in implementing, maintaining, or governing laboratory data standards within Canada’s digital health ecosystem.
