Overview
This group is a collaborative forum focused on the use and evolution of health terminologies, terminology subsets, and classification systems used in Canada. It does this by enabling coordination and knowledge sharing on implementation, maintenance, and use of multiple vocabularies across health programs and digital health initiatives. This matters because consistent, well‑managed terminologies support interoperability, data quality, and reliable exchange of health information across systems and jurisdictions. Ultimately, this work helps participants align on practical approaches for applying and sustaining terminologies within projects, products, and analytics.
Who it’s for
Intended for jurisdictions, implementers, vendors, clinicians, researchers, and standards participants who develop, govern, implement, or use health terminologies and classification systems to support interoperable digital health solutions in Canada.
