This group is a collaborative forum focused on the creation and exchange of electronic referrals and electronic consults between healthcare service providers in Canada. It does this by enabling coordination and knowledge sharing on use cases, required data elements, standards, and technical interoperability considerations across the eReferral lifecycle. This matters because consistent, standards‑based approaches are needed to support reliable referral workflows and alignment across multiple Canadian initiatives and clinical scenarios.
Ultimately, this work helps participants align on interoperable eReferral specifications that can be applied consistently in pan‑Canadian and jurisdictional contexts.
