Overview

This group is a collaborative forum supporting Canadian participation in ISO/TC 215 Health Informatics and ISO/TC 215 Subcommittee 1 (SC1) on Genomics Informatics. It does this by enabling coordination, consultation, and knowledge sharing related to standards development, review, balloting, and alignment across national mirror committees and international ISO activities. This matters because effective, consensus‑based international standards support interoperable, secure, and reliable use of health and genomics information across systems and jurisdictions.

Ultimately, this work helps participants contribute to and apply ISO health informatics standards in ways that support consistent implementation and global alignment.

Who it’s for

Intended for members of the ISO/TC 215 and SC1 Canadian mirror committees, jurisdictions, standards experts, implementers, vendors, researchers, and policymakers who participate in the development, review, governance, or application of ISO health informatics and genomics standards.
